Eligibility Requirements for Studying Business in Canada

Admission requirements vary widely depending on the university in Canada. Proof of strong proficiency in English is required by all universities in Canada. Students may be required to provide proof of language proficiency by writing a language proficiency test (E.g. IELTS or TOEFL).

Given below is a brief overview of the basic requirements for various business programs available for studying in Canada

Undergraduate Program

For undergraduate programs like BBA etc., a minimum of twelve years of education (Equivalent to completion of 12th Std. in India) is required

Postgraduate Program

For Masters programs (e.g Business analytics, Global Business Mgmt.), you should have completed a degree in your chosen field of interest

Postgraduate Management Program (MBA)

Graduate Management Aptitude Test (GMAT) is accepted by all business schools in Canada for the MBA aspirants. The test assesses the verbal, analytical and mathematical skills of the candidate. A score of 600 and above is considered competitive. However, some universities in Canada waive the GMAT for entry into the MBA program.

Along with your degree credentials, you will also typically need to provide:

  • Two or more letters of recommendation/Reference Letters

  • Proof of proficiency in English (e.g. TOEFL/IELTS) if your first language is not English

  • A statement of purpose (essay), outlining your aspirations and demonstrating your suitability for the course/program of study

  • A research proposal (for PhD and postdoctoral applicants)

The first step in the admission process is to determine your program of study (e.g. MBA, Business analytics etc.) and the universities that offer these programs. Once we work with you to decide your University/College and program of study, we will process your applications by helping you with all the required documentation and work with our partner universities / colleges to get back to you at the earliest.
